What Is Spark?

Spark is a profiling plugin/mod that provides detailed insights into your Minecraft server's performance. It can monitor:

  • CPU Usage: Identifies processes consuming high CPU resources.
  • Tick Rates: Tracks server tick rates to spot bottlenecks.
  • Entity and Tile Activity: Detects problematic entities or tiles.
  • Timings and Logs: Captures detailed timing reports for performance analysis.

Prerequisites

Before diagnosing lag with Spark, ensure the following:

  • Your server is running a compatible platform (e.g., Paper, Spigot, Bukkit, Forge, or Fabric).
  • You have access to the server console and file management tools.
  • Administrative permissions on the server.
