Installing The Mods

Step 1: Check Your Server Type

  1. Log into the Ridgeline Servers Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to your server and check the server type under Settings.
  3. If needed, reinstall your server with the Forge or Fabric type.

Step 2: Download the Mods

  1. Visit trusted mod repositories like CurseForge or Modrinth.
  2. Download .jar files for the mods you want to install.
  3. Ensure all mods are for the correct Minecraft version and server type.

Step 3: Upload Mods to the Server

  1. Log into the Ridgeline Servers Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to Files > mods.
  3. Use the Upload button to add your mod .jar files to the mods folder.

Step 4: Restart Your Server

  1. Return to the Console tab in the control panel.
  2. Restart your server to load the mods.
  3. Check the console logs for any errors related to the mods.

Step 5: Test the Mods

  1. Join your server in Minecraft and test the mods to ensure they’re working correctly.
  2. Look for any missing functionality or server errors.

Troubleshooting

  • Server Crashes on Startup:

    • Verify the mod versions match your Minecraft server version.
    • Ensure all dependencies (like Fabric API) are installed.

  • Mods Aren’t Loading:

    • Check that the mods are in the correct mods folder.
    • Restart the server to apply changes.

  • Incompatibility Issues:

    • Some mods may conflict with others. Test mods individually to identify problematic ones.
